Speech Disorders means communication Disorder (A disorder which affect any person communications). It affect understanding and communication gap where normal speech is disrupted, who is not able to speak they are count in mute.

Some people having this problem they lead to low self-esteem or where as they go in depression because what do they want to say or speak they are not able to communicate  proper. Who is stuttering and lips also part of speech disorder. some people stuttering, stuttering is also come through genetic.stuttering face most of people because native language create this problem.

       It affect anyone children as well as adults. As soon as possible treatment is better for this kind of person .

Some common speech disorder are likes -

• Apraxia:- Apraxia mean difficulties to speak a words like people want to say potato but listener stand “tapato”. This problem occur by damage to the part of brain related to speech and communication. Words production become more difficulties and effort but some common words become easily.
• Dysarthria:- This is happened when nervous and brain are damaged. Which affect muscles of mouth, face and respiratory system may become week and moving problem. It make difficulty to speak and communicate. Dysarthria often happen head or neck injuries,surgical accident or cerebral palsy. People face difficulty to understanding the speech of affected person.
• Speech Sounds Disorders:- It affect children as well as adults, This problem means what do you want to say but people can not understand because unclear speech or difficulty in specific speech sounds like some common consonant s/sh/r/or/l.
• Muteness :- Muteness is complete inability to speak. They only use hand and eyes to talk.

Some Causes of Speech Disorder :- Some time cause unknown but sometime it known the cause . The main cause of speech disorder is : Brain injury, hearing loss, drug abuse, illnesses etc.  

Symptoms Of Speech Disorder :-

Symptoms depend on speech disorders, which type of disorder patient face. Several symptoms represent :-

• Repeating sounds, especially those who stutter.
• Taking frequent pauses while taking.
• Blinking several time.
• Distorting multiple time.
• Involving head and eyes.
• Elongating words 

Here We will Talk Diagnosis :- Many tests are available in market -

• Denver articulation screening exam:- This tests basically used for check the pronunciation in children between the ages of 2 and 7.Most commonly used for check the speech disorder. This test take 5 mins and uses various exercises for children to access the speech.  
• Early Language Milestones Scale 2:- This test easily identify the cause of speech disorder. This test is created by neurodevelopmental pediatrician.
• Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test:- This test measures people’s vocabulary and speaking ability test . It was administered in 1959, it is first version of PPC test. In this test person listen to word and choose pictures to describe the words.

Treatment for Speech Disorders:- Various treatment available in market but obviously treatment depends on patient which kind of speech disorders.Speech Therapist help in muscle-strengthening exercise for the throat as well as face and you can learn way to practice smoother, more fluent speech.
